Arabia Petraea, Philippopolis. Philip I. A.D. 244-249. AE 30 (30.2 mm, 16.34 g, 6 h). Antioch mint, struck A.D. 247-249. AVTOK K M IOVΛI ΦIΛIΠΠOC CEB, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / ΦIΛIΠΠOΠOΛITΩN KOΛONIAC, S-C, Roma seated left on shield, holding two small figures and spear. Spjikerman 3; Rosenberger 2; Sofaer 3; SNG ANS 1403-5. Fine, porous red patina.

Ex Amphora Coins.

The two figures being held by Roma are thought to be Philip's parents.
